About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to work in a Patient Service Center or client office in Savannah, Georgia. The role involves providing customer service, collecting specimens, and representing the company to patients. The position is casual, with a schedule Monday through Friday at varying times between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., plus rotating Saturdays with hours that may vary. Travel to additional sites may be needed.

Employees regularly scheduled to work fewer than 20 hours per week, including casual employees, are eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan only. Phlebotomists may be eligible for a quarterly performance-based PST Incentive Plan bonus. Float assignments include an additional $1.00 per hour plus mileage reimbursement.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification, completion of a phlebotomy training program, or at least three months of experience as a phlebotomist.
• Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfort working under minimal supervision.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
• At least 21 years old.

Nice To Haves

• One year or more of experience as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other purposes.
• Enter patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
