About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to work in a Patient Service Center or client office in Renton, Washington. The role involves providing exceptional customer service, conducting skilled specimen collections, and representing the company to patients. Requirements

• Valid Washington-issued phlebotomy license. An application for a phlebotomy license filed with the Washington Department of Health at the time of hire may meet this requirement.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Reliable transportation and a clean driving record.
• Valid driver's license.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfort working under minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

• Six or more months of phlebotomy experience.
• Six or more months of current or prior Labcorp phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other purposes.
• Enter patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
