About The Position

PAML, a Labcorp company, is seeking a float phlebotomist to work in Tacoma, Washington, in a Patient Service Center or client office. The role involves skilled specimen collection, patient service, and related administrative work. The schedule is flexible, with travel to additional sites as needed. Float staff receive an additional $2.00 per hour plus mileage reimbursement. Eligible phlebotomists may participate in a quarterly incentive bonus program based on performance metrics.

Requirements

Valid Washington-issued phlebotomy license, or an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the Washington Department of Health at the time of hire may meet the license requirement.
Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
At least 21 years of age.
Reliable transportation and a clean driving record.
Valid driver's license.
Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Comfortable working under minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

Six or more months of phlebotomy experience.
Six or more months of current or prior Labcorp phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all age groups.
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other purposes.
Enter patient information accurately and promptly.
Process billing information and collect payments when required.
Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
Provide superior customer service to patients.
Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
Travel to additional sites when needed.
