About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join their team. This is a casual/per diem position where hours will be as needed. The Phlebotomist will perform blood collections, process specimens, handle data entry and billing, prepare specimens for testing, maintain logs, provide customer service, and perform administrative duties. They may also need to travel to additional sites. The role involves working in either a Patient Service Center or a Client office, providing exceptional customer service, performing skilled specimen collections, and representing the company. Requirements

High school diploma or GED or equivalent
Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
Reliable transportation
Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Nice To Haves

1 year or more of phlebotomy experience
Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency (in lieu of work experience)
Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
Ability to work independently or in a team environment
Comfortable working under minimal supervision
Flexibility to work overtime as needed

Responsibilities

Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
Maintain patient and specimen information logs
Provide superior customer service to all patients
Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
Travel to additional sites when needed
