About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join their team. This role involves performing blood collections, processing specimens, handling billing, and providing customer service. The Phlebotomist will be the face of the company and will have opportunities for continuous growth within the organization. The position is located at 425 West Grand Ave suite 2001 Dayton, Oh 45405.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Nice To Haves

• 2 years or more of phlebotomy experience
• 6 months or more of experience working in an OBGYN setting.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
