Responsible for phlebotomy, laboratory testing, quality control, instrument troubleshooting and maintenance. This role involves performing proper quality control procedures, laboratory blood work, blood draws, and following specimen handling procedures. The phlebotomist will also prepare slides, send samples to outside labs, receive and document lab reports, and maintain inventory. They will troubleshoot instrument malfunctions, perform therapeutic phlebotomy, and ensure laboratory compliance with state and federal regulations. Additionally, the role requires adherence to safety guidelines, maintaining patient confidentiality, and assisting in training new employees. Flexibility to work at any company location and overtime as needed is expected.
