Responsible for phlebotomy, laboratory testing, quality control, instrument troubleshooting and maintenance. This role involves performing proper quality control procedures, laboratory blood work, blood draws, and following specimen handling procedures. The phlebotomist will also prepare slides, manage outside lab requisitions, receive and document lab reports, and ensure accuracy and precision in technical laboratory procedures to meet regulatory standards. Additionally, the role includes maintaining supply inventory, troubleshooting instrument malfunctions, performing therapeutic phlebotomy, ensuring laboratory compliance with state and federal regulations, and adhering to safety guidelines and patient confidentiality. The position may also involve assisting in training new employees and working at different company locations as needed, including overtime when required.
