About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to work in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, providing services at Patient Service Centers or client offices across the listed coverage area. The role involves skilled specimen collection and patient-facing customer service, with opportunities for growth within the organization. The float incentive includes an additional $1.00 per hour plus mileage reimbursement. Eligible Phlebotomists may also participate in a quarterly performance-based incentive plan.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with potential Saturdays as needed. Shifts may begin as early as 5 a.m. and end as late as 6 p.m. Coverage includes Hickman, Franklin, Brentwood, Murfreesboro, Lebanon, Mt. Juliet, Cookeville, Sparta, and McMinnville.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification, completion of a phlebotomy training program, or at least 3 months of phlebotomy experience.
• If relying on certification or training instead of work experience, the certification or program must be from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record of exceptional customer service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfort working under minimal supervision.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Nice To Haves

• One year or more of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other purposes.
• Enter patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
