Phlebotomist
About The Position
The Phlebotomist provides patient care and customer-focused service by performing venipuncture on patients of all ages and collecting and preparing non-blood specimens. The role ensures specimens are processed and labeled properly and that tests are ordered correctly, while championing safety, compliance, and quality control. The position has routine access to Protected Health Information (PHI); employees are trained in safeguards and must maintain strict confidentiality and access PHI only as required for their duties. This is a benefit-eligible, part-time position scheduled for 20 hours per week with Clinical Pathology Laboratories, Inc., part of Sonic Healthcare USA.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous phlebotomy training or experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer and data entry skills.
Nice To Haves
- Two or more years of laboratory training or experience in specimen collection and processing.
- Certification from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians.
