Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required.
Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Ability to remain calm and compassionate with patients of all ages.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a healthcare team.

Nice To Haves

One to two years of phlebotomy or related healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Collect blood specimens through venipuncture and capillary draws for laboratory testing, blood donations, and other diagnostic purposes.
Verify patient identification and ensure specimen accuracy throughout the collection process.
Label, process, and transport specimens according to established protocols.
Maintain patient comfort, safety, and dignity during all collection procedures.
Explain procedures and help alleviate patient concerns to create a positive experience.
Follow infection prevention, safety, and quality assurance standards.
Collaborate with laboratory staff, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all regulatory requirements.
