About The Position

MUSC East Cooper Women’s in Mount Pleasant is a women’s health outpatient clinic. Our specialty clinic operates Monday – Friday 8AM – 4:30PM, no holidays or weekends! This role involves drawing and collecting blood samples from patients, verifying records, and preparing specimens for laboratory analysis. It may also include pricking fingers to draw blood, conducting interviews, taking vital signs, and testing blood samples to screen donors at a blood bank.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 0 - 6 months of work experience
• Completed Accredited Phlebotomy Certificate Course
• Ability to be qualified physically for respirator use, initially and as required.
• Maintain 20/40 vision corrected, see and recognize objects close at hand and at a distance.
• Work in a latex safe environment.
• Work indoors.
