About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join its team in Newtown, Pennsylvania. The role may be based in a Patient Service Center or a client office and involves providing customer service, collecting specimens, and representing the company to patients. The position offers opportunities for continued growth within the organization. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with rotating Saturdays. Travel to additional sites may be required. Phlebotomists may be eligible for the PST Incentive Plan, which provides a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification, completion of a phlebotomy training program, or at least 3 months of phlebotomy experience.
• If qualifying through certification or a training program instead of work experience, the certification or program must be from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfort working under minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other purposes.
• Enter patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
