About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to work in a Patient Service Center in Morehead City, North Carolina. The role performs skilled specimen collections, provides exceptional customer service, and serves as a face of the company. It offers opportunities for continuous growth within the organization. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification, completion of a phlebotomy training program, or at least six months of phlebotomy experience.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfort working under minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections using venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other testing.
• Enter patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
