About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a part-time Phlebotomist to join its team in Joplin, Missouri. The position works in a Patient Service Center, providing customer service and performing specimen collection as a representative of the company. The role includes opportunities for continued growth within the organization.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Phlebotomists may be eligible to participate in a quarterly incentive bonus program based on performance metrics.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• In lieu of work experience, a phlebotomy certification or completed training program must be from an accredited agency.

Nice To Haves

• Current or prior Labcorp experience.
• One or more years of experience working as a phlebotomist.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other purposes.
• Enter patient information accurately and in a timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
