Collects clinical laboratory specimens and performs tasks associated with patient registration, order entry, and specimen processing with general supervision. Performs waived testing with general supervision. Provides logistical support to team members and general assistance to customers. This role involves performing venipunctures, collecting other specimens, and explaining proper collection procedures. It also includes clarifying orders, performing registration, processing specimens, and promoting HNL Lab Medicine’s values with excellent customer relations. The position requires maintaining up-to-date knowledge of specimen requirements, managing supply inventory, and ensuring a meticulous work area. Additionally, it involves assisting with training new staff, participating in continuous improvement and education programs, and properly documenting expense reimbursements. On-call and mobile service may be required, including travel to sites within 25 miles of the base location. Per diem work is determined by departmental needs and employee availability, with flexibility being an expectation.
