The Phlebotomist draws blood from patients and ensures proper handling and care of all samples drawn. This position reports to nursing administration.
Requirements
- Certificate of training in phlebotomy required from an appropriate training institution
- Must maintain a valid driver's license in the applicable state
- Must be a Certified Phlebotomy Technician
- Successful completion CPR certification within 90 days of employment
- Successful completion Handle with Care (HWC/VDE) within 90 days of employment prior to assisting with restraining procedures
Nice To Haves
- High School Degree or equivalent preferred
- One year of related experience, with a knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness, preferred
