This role is responsible for executing the plasmapheresis process by performing venipunctures. The phlebotomist will ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, maintain a high level of customer service, stock and replenish supplies, prepare equipment, execute venipunctures and plasma collection, operate automated plasmapheresis machines, monitor donor conditions, manage biohazard waste, perform equipment maintenance and calibration, maintain accurate documentation, drive training efficiencies, and troubleshoot machine alarms. The position requires the ability to work daytime and evening hours, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts, and involves occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens and working in a cold environment.
