About The Position
We’re looking for a skilled Phlebotomist to join our laboratory team! You'll play a key role in collecting quality specimens, supporting critical testing, and ensuring exceptional patient care.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- Experience with Mysis Laboratory Information System
- Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of basic biology, chemistry, and math
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Nice To Haves
- National Phlebotomy Certification (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary collections accurately and efficiently
- Prioritize STAT orders and respond quickly to urgent needs
- Verify test orders and ensure specimens meet all labeling requirements
- Conduct EKGs and specialized procedures (e.g., sweat chloride, bleeding time)
- Communicate effectively with team members and support onboarding
- Step in as an accession technician when qualified
