About The Position
The phlebotomist performs venipuncture and related procedures under the direct supervision of the Phlebotomy Team Lead, following hospital and department philosophy, policies, and procedures. The role serves as a departmental ambassador and provides excellent customer service. The position does not have access to funds. This is a casual, as-needed position with Adena Laboratory.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Completion of an accredited phlebotomy course.
- Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician (PBT/CPT) as outlined in the AHS Laboratory SOP Certification Pathway and Certification.
Nice To Haves
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and/or Electrocardiogram (EKG) credentials may be needed depending on the position; hospital/laboratory phlebotomists are not required to have CPR/EKG.
