About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Yakima, WA. In this role, you will perform blood collections, collect specimens for various tests, perform moderately complex testing as defined by CLIA, handle data entry, process billing and payments, prepare specimens for testing, maintain logs, provide customer service, and perform administrative duties. You may also be required to travel to additional sites. Requirements

• Valid Washington State-issued Phlebotomy License
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision

Nice To Haves

• 3 or more months of phlebotomy experience
• 6 or more months of current or prior Labcorp experience in phlebotomy
• Bilingual with proficiency in Spanish and English
• In lieu of state license requirement listed above, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the WA Department of Health at time of hire may meet license requirement.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Qualified to perform moderately complexity testing as defined by CLIA
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collecting payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
