About The Position

The Lead must coordinate work assignments, work schedules and activities for phlebotomy, registration, and technical lab assistant duties. This role involves performing test procedures as needed, maintaining quality control of inventory supplies, and overseeing the preventative maintenance program for point-of-care instruments. The Lead will also correlate continuing education activities, oversee the orientation of new staff, attend scheduled meetings, and prepare reports as requested. The lead will assist in training for all health system locations where blood draws occur.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Must complete simple laboratory tasks in all sections
  • A valid Ohio Drivers License with good driving record is required

Nice To Haves

  • Phlebotomy certification is preferred
  • Prior work experience in a medical setting is preferred
  • Prior supervisory/managerial experience is preferred
  • Additional languages preferred
