About The Position

This job performs laboratory functions that support patient care. Duties include conducting phlebotomy procedures; receiving, processing, accessioning, and distributing specimens; and performing and reporting specific test procedures. The schedule is 4:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with rotating weekends. The role requires a flexible work schedule and routine exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissue, with possible exposure to communicable diseases, hazardous medications, or hazardous waste.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Computer skills and dexterity for entering and retrieving patient information.
Proficiency with Windows-style applications and keyboard use.
Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present information clearly and professionally to individuals at varying levels throughout the patient care process.
Knowledge of venipuncture procedures.
Strong interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

Completion of a phlebotomy course.
Current license or trainee license in the state of practice.
