We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist/Processor with excellent people skills to enhance our team. Ideal candidates will have a collaborative spirit and a commitment to supporting both our patients and our team’s goals. This is a full-time float position with hours and days dependent on coverage needs. The role involves administrative duties such as providing customer service, answering phones, and monitoring instrumentation alarms. Technical responsibilities include performing venipuncture for blood collection, obtaining additional specimen types, and preparing all samples for lab testing and screening. Accurate data management, including verifying specimen information, performing data entry, and properly identifying patient information, is crucial. Specimen handling involves receiving, processing, and packaging samples for referral labs while maintaining specimen integrity. Compliance with safety protocols, HIPAA policies, and Medicare rules, along with participation in quality assurance, is required. Flexibility to cover work shifts at different sites and maintaining consistent, punctual, and reliable attendance are essential for ensuring smooth operations and continuity.
