About The Position

Interpath Laboratory is looking for a Phlebotomist/Processor to join our Swing Shift team! Newly certified phlebotomists are encouraged to apply, although previous professional phlebotomy experience is preferred. In this role, you'll perform patient blood draws and assist with specimen pickups, including supporting our partnership with Treasure Valley Hospital. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous professional phlebotomy experience preferred
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and compassionately with pediatric patients and their families
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy
• Highly organized and capable of managing multiple responsibilities effectively
• Annual Influenza (Flu) vaccination
• Hepatitis B (HepB) series
• Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) vaccination
• Tuberculosis (TB) test, PPD (within the last 12 months)
• Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis (TDAP) vaccination (within the last 10 years)
• Varicella (Chickenpox) vaccination or immunity

Responsibilities

• Performing venipuncture for blood collection
• Obtaining additional specimen types as required
• Preparing all samples for lab testing and screening, with a focus on pediatric patients
• Verifying specimen information, performing data entry, and properly identifying patient information
• Receiving, processing, and packaging samples for referral labs while maintaining specimen integrity
• Following safety protocols, HIPAA policies, Medicare rules, and participating in quality assurance activities
• Supporting clinic operations and assisting with coverage as needed to ensure smooth day-to-day workflow
• Maintaining consistent, punctual, and reliable attendance to ensure continuity of operations and support for our team and patients
• Providing excellent customer service to patients and families
• Answering phones
• Monitoring for instrumentation alarms
• Assisting with specimen pickups
