About The Position

The Phlebotomists/Processor collects, transports, and processes laboratory specimens. This role involves performing venipuncture and capillary punctures, accurately labeling and preparing specimens, completing requisitions, managing specimen receipt using computer systems, and delivering specimens to testing areas. The position also requires maintaining equipment, assisting with problem-solving related to patient draws and orders, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, corporate standards, and departmental policies. Additionally, the role includes conducting inventory checks, training new employees, and maintaining a safe work environment.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Some experience or training in phlebotomy or laboratory science is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures according to departmental procedures.

• Complete requisitions and manage specimen receipt using computer systems.
