About The Position

The phlebotomist is responsible collecting blood specimens through venipuncture and skin puncture. The positon requires extensive time sitting, writing, and talking on telephone; physical demands are moderate to low. Candidates must be able to assist in physical crisis intervention when necessary.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year of prior job related experience
• Certification as a Phlebotomist
• Demonstrates the ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Verification of absence of criminal record on local, state and federal levels.
• Medium demand, mentally. Requires extensive time sitting, writing, and talking on telephone.
• Ability to assist in crisis intervention, physical intervention with out of control patients.

Responsibilities

• Collecting blood specimens through venipuncture and skin puncture.
• Assisting in physical crisis intervention when necessary.
• Performs others duties as may be assigned by CNO/ ACNO/Manager/Supervisor or CEO.
