Opportunity Overview We have an immediate opening for an Phlebotomist/Patient Care Coordinator to join our team at Fertility Centers of Illinois to support our Milwaukee, Wisconsin office. Schedule: Monday through Friday 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM Compensation: $27 hourly This role provides the opportunity to grow within a nationally respected organization while remaining closely connected to the patients and teams you support every day.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • Phlebotomy certification or diploma required
  • CPR certification required
  • Proficient in venipuncture and clinical specimen processing
  • Familiarity with EMR systems and lab portals
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a clinical team
  • Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 prior to start (unless an approved medical or religious exemption is provided)

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a fast-paced medical office or fertility clinic strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform venipuncture and collect blood, urine, and tissue specimens using proper techniques and Universal Precautions
  • Confirm lab orders in, verify patient identity, and ensure accurate specimen collection and labeling
  • Follow insurance guidelines and complete necessary consent forms prior to specimen collection
  • Process specimens for in-house or external testing (e.g., Quest, LabCorp, ACL, genetic panels)
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper stocking of phlebotomy and clinical areas
  • Ensure biohazard and sharps disposal procedures are followed
  • Provide timely and compassionate service to patients
  • Support nurses with specimen-related workflows and patient follow-ups
  • Communicate clear expectations around results timelines and next steps
  • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and adherence to HIPAA at all times
  • Provide coverage at other clinic locations as needed, including weekends
