About The Position

Life Line Screening is seeking skilled Phlebotomists/Medical Assistants for its community event-based preventive health screening team. Team members work in a fast-paced environment at a different location each day and perform screenings that provide customers with information about their health. Candidates should have hands-on venipuncture experience and be willing to cross-train as a Medical Assistant.

Requirements

• Extensive work experience with customer-facing Medical Assistant and phlebotomy duties.
• At least one year of hands-on adult venipuncture experience in a high-volume setting.
• Experience using a centrifuge and separating serum and plasma specimens into transport tubes with transfer devices.
• Inpatient or outpatient draw experience, such as in a hospital, nursing home, doctor's office, traveling phlebotomy role, or draw center.
• Desire to provide excellent customer service.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Valid driver's license and eligibility for coverage under the company's vehicle insurance policy.
• Ability to share driving duties and load and unload equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of a background check and drug screen is required as a condition of an employment offer.

Nice To Haves

• Phlebotomy certification from ASCP, NPA, NHA, or AMT.

Responsibilities

• Cross-train and participate in core Medical Assistant duties, including Ankle Brachial Index, Osteoporosis, AFIB, Registration, and Laboratory screening areas.
• Review participant records for accuracy and completeness.
• Conduct venipuncture and finger-sticks when scheduled.
• Monitor patients for reactions and ensure sample quality.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comfort while meeting customer service expectations throughout the process.
• Sanitize and clean equipment and work areas between patients.
• Package and ship specimens to the central lab daily, where applicable.
• Share responsibility for driving the company van and loading and unloading equipment.
