About The Position

Community Medical Group is seeking a dependable and patient-focused Phlebotomist / Medical Assistant to join our clinical team. In this role, you will support our providers and patients by performing blood draws, preparing patients for appointments, assisting with clinical procedures, and helping maintain an organized and welcoming medical center. Requirements

  • Medical Assistant diploma or certificate from an accredited program
  • Phlebotomy training and experience performing venipuncture
  • Strong patient-service and communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced medical environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation
  • Dependable, professional, and comfortable working as part of a team

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual English and Spanish skills preferred
  • Previous experience in a physician’s office, clinic, or outpatient setting is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform venipuncture and collect blood specimens safely and accurately
  • Properly label, prepare, and process specimens for laboratory testing
  • Verify patient information and follow established specimen-handling procedures
  • Prepare patients for examinations and obtain vital signs
  • Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record
  • Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and other clinical needs
  • Administer injections and medications as directed and permitted by applicable regulations
  • Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked examination rooms
  • Follow infection-control, safety, and patient-privacy guidelines
  • Communicate with patients in a professional, compassionate, and respectful manner
  • Work closely with providers, medical assistants, front-office staff, and other members of the care team
