This PRN Phlebotomy Position involves patient care interaction. Missouri Baptist Medical Center, an acute care hospital in St. Louis County, offers a full continuum of medical and surgical services. The hospital has a 24-hour adult emergency department and cares for pediatric patients at a separate emergency department in collaboration with St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Requirements

High School Diploma or GED (required)
Phlebotomy experience (preferred)
High School Diploma or GED
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Phlebotomy

Responsibilities

Performs non-blood and blood specimen collection, specimen handling/routine processing and clerical duties associated with specimen collection.
Perform phlebotomy, positive patient identification, and positive patient interaction, proper collection and specimen integrity.
Coordinates a simultaneous series of tasks accurately, including STAT orders and fluctuation in workload, prioritizing work to complete within scheduled hours and established turnaround times.
Interacts with lab, clinical and other ancillary departments.
