About The Position

This position involves performing sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA, and other applicable regulatory and established standards. The role also includes performing venipunctures at applicable entities, obtaining and preparing blood specimens according to Piedmont policies and procedures, and assisting technical staff with non-clinical tasks.

Requirements

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• No experience required

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist
• Experience in performing EKGs
• Experience working in healthcare or clinical laboratory setting
• CPT - Phlebotomy Technician Certification Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA or equivalent agency

Responsibilities

• Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and other applicable regulatory, established standards as may be applicable.
• Performs venipunctures at entities where applicable, and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures.
