About The Position
Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Phlebotomist II for their Colorado Springs, CO location. This position operates Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with rotational Saturdays. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred. Salary offers are determined by a variety of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, certifications, market conditions, and organizational factors. Successful candidates may be eligible for annual performance bonus compensation.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a phlebotomy training program.
- Current Phlebotomy certification (e.g., ASCP, AMT, NHA).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a phlebotomist.
- Proficiency in venipuncture, butterfly, and fingerstick collection techniques.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety and infection control procedures.
- Basic computer skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including rotational Saturdays.
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Additional certifications or training in related healthcare fields.
Responsibilities
- Perform blood collection (venipuncture, butterfly, fingerstick) on patients of all ages.
- Process specimens according to established procedures.
- Perform basic laboratory procedures as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control policies and procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals.
