About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Floater to join their team in Fort Wayne, IN. This role involves performing blood collections, processing specimens, entering patient data, handling billing, and providing customer service. As a Float Phlebotomist, you will gain diverse experience working with various patients, team members, and locations, offering opportunities for skill development and growth within the organization. This position is full-time, with scheduled hours varying between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm, Monday through Friday, and includes rotating Saturdays. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience
• Must have a Valid Driver's License and clean driving record with reliable transportation
• Must be at least 21 years’ old
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Nice To Haves

• 3 years or more of phlebotomy experience with pediatric and geriatric patients
• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
