About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join their team. This role involves performing blood collections, specimen processing, data entry, and providing customer service. The Phlebotomist Float will travel to additional sites as needed to cover schedules in Grand Junction and surrounding areas. Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent
Coverage for Grand Junction and surrounding areas
Ability to work in fast paced / high volume work environments
Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
Be at least 21 years of age
Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
Reliable transportation
Flexibility to work overtime as needed
Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
Ability to work independently or in a team environment
Comfortable working under minimal supervision
In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency

Nice To Haves

Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 6 months or more experience as a Phlebotomist

Responsibilities

Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
Process billing information and collect payments when required
Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
Maintain patient and specimen information logs
Provide superior customer service to all patients
Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary
Travel to additional sites when needed
