About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our team at Grand Junction Patient Service Center & surrounding areas. This role involves performing blood collections, processing specimens, data entry, and providing customer service. The Phlebotomist Float will travel to additional sites as needed and is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely patient information and specimen preparation. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
  • Reliable transportation
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision

Nice To Haves

  • Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 6 months or more experience as a Phlebotomist
  • Coverage for Grand Junction and surrounding areas
  • Ability to work in fast paced / high volume work environments
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed

Responsibilities

  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
  • Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
  • Process billing information and collect payments when required
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients
  • Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
  • Travel to additional sites when needed
