About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Float Phlebotomist to join their team for coverage of Patient Service Centers (PSCs) in and around Highlands Ranch, CO. 80126. This is a full-time position with a work schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with hours varying between 6:00 am and 6:00 pm. Rotational Saturdays are included in this role. The Float Phlebotomist will have the opportunity to gain a vast amount of experience working with a variety of patients, team members, and clinics/patient service center locations. This role is ideal for someone who likes variety and offers opportunities for growth and continuous development within the organization.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Ability to work in fast paced / high volume work environments
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
• Reliable transportation
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision

Nice To Haves

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 6 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
• 6 months or more experience with pediatric through geriatric patients
• Coverage for Highlands Ranch, Littleton, Englewood, Aurora and surrounding areas

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
