About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join their team in Melrose MA. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week. The role involves performing blood collections, processing specimens, data entry, handling billing, and providing customer service. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 6 or more months phlebotomy experience
Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency or previous experience as a phlebotomist is required
Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
Ability to work independently or in a team environment
Comfortable working under minimal supervision
Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
Must have a Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record with reliable transportation
Must be at least 21 years’ old

Nice To Haves

Current or prior LabCorp experience
1 or more years phlebotomy experience
Flexibility to work overtime as needed

Responsibilities

Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
Process billing information and collect payments when required
Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
Maintain patient and specimen information logs
Provide superior customer service to all patients
Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
Travel to additional sites when needed
