About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join their team. This role involves performing blood collections, processing specimens, handling data entry and billing, and providing customer service. The Float Phlebotomist will travel to additional sites as needed and will gain a variety of experience working with different patients, team members, and locations. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy variety and are looking for opportunities for growth within the organization.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED or equivalent
1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist
In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
Ability to work independently or in a team environment
Comfortable working under minimal supervision
Flexibility to work overtime as needed
Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record with reliable transportation
Be at least 21 years’ old

Nice To Haves

2 years or more of phlebotomy experience
1 year experience doing pediatric blood draws
bilingual in English and Spanish

Responsibilities

Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
Maintain patient and specimen information logs
Provide superior customer service to all patients
Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
Travel to additional sites when needed.
