About The Position

LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomist - Float to join our team. This position will cover multiple locations in the Metropolitan Detroit region, as well as Battle Creek, Lansing, Kalamazoo, Coldwater, and other areas in southern and southwestern Michigan, and the South Bend, Indiana region. As a Float Phlebotomist, you will have the opportunity to gain a vast amount of experience working with a variety of patients, team members, and clinics/locations. Requirements

High school diploma or GED or equivalent
1 year of more of phlebotomy experience
In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
Ability to work independently or in a team environment
Comfortable working under minimal supervision
Flexibility to work overtime as needed
Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record with reliable transportation
Be at least 21 years’ old

Nice To Haves

2 years or more of phlebotomy experience in an outpatient lab environment

Responsibilities

Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
Process billing information and collect payments when necessary
Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
Maintain patient and specimen information logs
Provide superior customer service to all patients
Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
Travel to additional sites when needed
