About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float - PRN to join our team at Grand Junction Patient Service Center & surrounding areas. This role involves performing blood collections, processing specimens, handling data entry, and providing excellent customer service. The position offers opportunities for continuous growth within the organization and may be eligible for a quarterly incentive bonus program.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision

Nice To Haves

• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months or more experience as a Phlebotomist
• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
