About The Position

The company is seeking a Float Phlebotomist - PRN to provide coverage for Medical Clinics in and around Littleton, CO. This role offers the opportunity to gain extensive experience by working with diverse patients, team members, and various clinic locations, fostering skill development and continuous growth within the organization. The position involves performing blood collections, processing specimens, managing patient data and billing, providing customer service, and undertaking administrative duties, with a requirement to travel to different sites as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Coverage for Littleton & surrounding areas
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
  • Ability to work in fast paced / high volume work environments
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
  • Reliable transportation
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision

Nice To Haves

  • Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 9 months or more experience as a phlebotomist
  • In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency

Responsibilities

  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
  • Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
  • Process billing information and collect payments when required
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients
  • Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
  • Travel to additional sites when needed
