About The Position

LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomist - Float - Per Diem to join their team in Louisville, Kentucky. This is a casual/per diem position with hours as needed, varying from Monday-Friday 7:30am-5:00pm and weekends. The role involves performing blood collections, specimen processing, data entry, billing, and providing customer service. Requirements

High school diploma or GED or equivalent
1 year of more of phlebotomy experience
Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
Ability to work independently or in a team environment
Comfortable working under minimal supervision
Flexibility to work overtime as needed
Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record with reliable transportation
Be at least 21 years’ old

Nice To Haves

2 years or more of phlebotomy experience in an outpatient lab setting
Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency (in lieu of work experience)

Responsibilities

Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
Process billing information and collect payments when necessary
Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
Maintain patient and specimen information logs
Provide superior customer service to all patients
Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
Travel to additional sites when needed
