Float Phlebotomist - PRN/Per Diem

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team. This is a Casual/Per Diem position, meaning hours will be "as needed" and the start and end times will vary. In this role, you will perform skilled specimen collections and provide exceptional customer service, acting as the face of the company. Requirements
- Washington State issued Phlebotomy license (MA-P)
- Valid Driver's License and good driving record
- Be at least 21 years old
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
Nice To Haves
- 6 or more months of experience as a phlebotomist
- In lieu of state license requirement listed above, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the WA Department of Health at time of hire may meet license requirement
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
Responsibilities
- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
- Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
- Process billing information and collect payments when required
- Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
- Maintain patient and specimen information logs
- Provide superior customer service to all patients
- Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
- Travel to additional sites when needed
