Phlebtomist/DOT Driver
About The Position
ImpactLife is seeking a committed team member for its Donor Services Phlebotomy team. Collection Specialist Drivers conduct donor registrations, screenings, physicals, and phlebotomy, and provide donor care during the donation process. They drive large blood center vehicles to transport blood drive supplies and Donor Services team members, set up and tear down collection operations, and restock supplies. This is a full-time position scheduled for 30–39 hours per week. The role requires varied hours, including days, evenings, and weekends, and training away from home for up to two weeks at a time. ImpactLife is an independent community nonprofit providing lifesaving blood products to more than 120 hospitals and emergency medical service providers across a four-state region. The organization has more than 800 team members and operates in Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, and Wisconsin.
Requirements
- Customer service experience.
- Enjoy working with the public.
- Good, stable work history.
- Understand the importance of following standard operating procedures.
- Ability to work a varied schedule, including days, evenings, and weekends.
- Ability to train away from home for up to two weeks at a time.
- Comfort driving larger vehicles, such as box trucks and truck-and-trailer combinations.
- Comfort driving in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license in the state of residence and ability to be insured by the company's insurance carrier.
- REAL ID.
- Hold or be able to obtain a DOT Medical Certification Physical card.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle report.
