About The Position

This role involves a combination of customer service and phlebotomy duties. The individual will be responsible for researching, answering, and tracking client and agent inquiries, providing information on specimen requirements, requesting additional tests, and delivering reports. They will also coordinate activities between client services, agents, and clients, including scheduling appointments and communicating with all parties involved. Additionally, the role requires conducting in-center exams, which include taking vital signs, medical histories, performing venipuncture, urine collection, and EKGs, as well as collecting specimens for drug screenings and other services. The position demands adherence to compliance and safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Minimum one year of customer service experience.
  • Minimum one year of phlebotomy experience with pediatric and geriatric patients.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to type 40 wpm.
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft office with the ability to learn new software.
  • Phlebotomy certification required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Nice To Haves

  • Phlebotomy certification preferred (unless required by state).
  • Urine or hair follicle collection experience.
  • EKG experience.
  • Bilingual in Spanish.
  • Medical terminology background.

Responsibilities

  • Researches, answers, follows up and tracks client, agent, and field questions appropriately and in a timely manner, including giving out specimen requirements, requesting additional tests and providing reports.
  • Documents all calls and submits problem or difficult calls to the manager.
  • Coordinates activities between client services, the agent, and the client, including scheduling applicants with an examiner or at a PSC site and communication agents, applicants and examiners.
  • Conducts in center exams which include taking basic vitals, medical histories, venipuncture, urine collection, and EKG.
  • Collects specimens for pre-employment drug screenings and other Quest Diagnostics services.
  • Responds to the needs and requests of clients and Quest Diagnostics management and staff in a professional and expedient manner.
  • Observes all compliance policies and safety policies and procedures as outlined in the Quest Diagnostics Safety Manual or safety matters included in other special training.
  • Other duties as assigned.
