About The Position

This is a full-time writer/reporter position focused on covering the philosophy of the technology industry, particularly Silicon Valley and the ideas shaping AI. The role is less about the 'model horse race' and more about understanding how the people building this technology think about American politics, human consciousness, power dynamics, and ideological frameworks like Effective Altruism, non-dualism, and AI safety. The position offers competitive pay and the opportunity to gain significant sourcing and networking access within the tech industry and potentially influence policy. The work environment is described as fast-paced, startup-like, with frequent collaboration and potential for co-bylines. It's a role for an ambitious reporter who can challenge assumptions and gain outsize influence. The company is looking for someone who can produce ambitious, magazine-worthy features with exclusive, impactful journalism.
