About The Position

This job assists in the planning, implementation, and coordination of philanthropic campaigns for the company including various mail solicitation campaigns, special events, reporting, organization and coordination of benefactor services, alumni, stewardship, corporate/foundations, annual giving, prospect research and all other philanthropy service line needs. Coordinates and implements all aspects of assigned projects from inception to completion and performs duties that include understanding of donor portals, website content and publications, Ever true, social media components, presentation packages and reports. Attends meetings throughout the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 3 years of development/philanthropy/events experience
  • Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications, including fundraising databases.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills and ability to coordinate and perform a variety of different activities simultaneously.
  • Ability to use good judgment in handling difficult situations and function calmly under pressure.
  • Ability to show strong attention to detail and be thorough in completing work assignments.
  • Excellent administrative skills.
  • Ability to travel between and outside of facility locations and work variable hours, as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years of development/philanthropy/events experience with successful event production and/or fundraising

Responsibilities

  • Provides support to philanthropy leadership in all facets of gifting such as allocation, recordation, reconciliation, reporting, follow-up, compliance and attending meetings inside/outside the office.
  • Maintains communication between medical staff, department heads and leadership.
  • Maintains integrity of all databases within Philanthropy.
  • Assists with and understands fiscal/budgetary components of Philanthropy.
  • Provides support with special projects as assigned in the form of, but not limited to, working with other departments such as Marketing Team, Information Systems (IS) Team, and Accounting Teams.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
  • Remains knowledgeable on current federal, state and local laws, accreditation standards or regulatory agency requirements that apply to the assigned area of responsibility and ensures compliance with all such laws, regulations and standards.
