The Philanthropy Officer is a member of the Development team and is responsible for cultivating strategies and securing donor gifts to support Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas’ (PPGT) goals. This position is accountable for managing and executing a comprehensive fundraising program and donor portfolio with specific revenue accountability for an assigned area of responsibility including mid-level donors, special campaigns such as on-line giving days, high-impact fundraising events, planned giving and providing leadership for volunteers and peers to reach annual goals. This position requires strong skills in strategy, execution and relationship management and regularly partners with senior leadership, Board members and donors. Additional responsibilities include: (1) fundraising and relationship-building activities with individual donors and foundations, (2) identifying, cultivating, and stewarding major gifts, (3) supporting and implementing fundraising events and (4) collaborating with senior leadership and colleagues in relationship management and coordination of the community board activities for assigned region. Supports the organization’s strategic plan and workplace inclusion initiatives. Ensures productivity expectations, customer service and compliance standards are maintained. Abides by the organization’s mission in performing job duties. Demonstrates an understanding and commitment to PPGT’s culture of quality, safety and risk awareness.
