About The Position

Indiana University Health Foundation is seeking a driven, resourceful, and relationship-oriented fundraising professional to join the IU Health Foundation's Indianapolis Metro philanthropy team. This person will operate with meaningful flexibility, catching philanthropic opportunities for the team. In the short term, the role will focus on Carmel North needs and downtown health district work, but it will evolve as gifts close and new priorities emerge. This role advances metro focused philanthropy for IU Health Foundation, including managing an active portfolio of donors and prospects, developing and executing cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies, partnering with stakeholders to identify funding opportunities, leveraging CRM tools, translating organizational needs into compelling cases for support, supporting integrated fundraising initiatives, and adapting as the role evolves.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree is required.
• Requires 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Requires working knowledge of fundraising software (i.e. Raiser's Edge, Salesforce).
• Requires proficiency in MS office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

• Experience with a matrix organization and complex work environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Managing an active portfolio of donors and prospects across the Indianapolis Metro region with a focus on qualification, cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and pipeline development
• Developing and executing cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies designed to deepen donor engagement and increase philanthropic support
• Partnering with operational, clinical, and administrative stakeholders to identify funding opportunities and align donor interests with organizational priorities
• Leveraging CRM tools and donor data to prioritize opportunities, inform portfolio strategy, and support fundraising effectiveness
• Translating organizational needs into compelling cases for philanthropic support
• Supporting integrated fundraising initiatives and contributing to organizational fundraising goals across the Foundation
• Adapting as the role evolves with new gift closes, emerging priorities, and shifting team needs
