About The Position

Gaudenzia's Mission: Gaudenzia's Mission is to promote long-term recovery by providing comprehensive treatment and support to people with substance use disorder, co-occurring mental health disorders, and related conditions, regardless of individual circumstances. The Philanthropy Manager leads Gaudenzia's fundraising campaigns, donor engagement, and stewardship activities with a focus on expanding philanthropic support. This role is responsible for executing annual and special campaigns, overseeing events, procuring and stewarding in-kind support, designing donor communication workflows, and developing strategies to re-engage lapsed donors and attract new supporters. The Philanthropy Manager also collaborates closely with the Marketing team to deliver compelling donor-centric messaging and supports grant-related activities. This position requires strong organizational skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to work cross-functionally to achieve departmental goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.
  • 5-10 years of experience in fundraising, donor engagement, or nonprofit marketing required.
  • Deep knowledge of communications and marketing strategies, including audience segmentation and multi-channel engagement.
  • Proven ability to create and implement donor campaigns, organize large-scale fundraising events, creating and maintaining programs and processes, and creating and implementing mass communications strategies that target specific audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to use data to inform strategy.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at developing and executing processes and procedures.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across teams and departments.
  • Proficiency with donor CRM systems (DonorPerfect preferred), reporting tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understanding of grant application process and management.
  • Ability to balance independent work with collaborative teamwork

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute annual giving campaigns and other fundraising initiatives.
  • Oversee planning and implementation of special events that advance donor engagement and fundraising goals.
  • Develop and execute strategies to re-engage lapsed donors and acquire new supporters.
  • Working through the Center for Good, prospect, procure and stewards in-kind donations.
  • Partner with Marketing to ensure consistent, donor-focused messaging; create materials and tools to support campaigns, events, and philanthropic giving.
  • Oversee the creation and implementation of donor engagement programs including donation drives and volunteer activities.
  • Design and implement donor communication workflows from solicitation to acknowledgment.
  • Monitor KPIs and report on campaign and fundraising performance.
  • Keep and manage budgets for campaigns and events.
  • Support the philanthropy and grants team in prospecting, proposal development, and grant writing as needed.
  • Ensure confidentiality of donor and organizational data at all times.
  • Provide departmental leadership and cross-functional support on strategic initiatives.
